Below is a list of Items required for play-

Mouthpiece-The mouthpiece MUST be worn at all times during play. Please take a few minutes to cut the mouthpiece down to the proper size and boil the mouthpiece so they can bite into it, this way it fits comfortably in their mouths. A properly fitted mouthpiece will form a slight suction to the upper teeth.   Read the instructions for proper directions.

Mouthpieces come in several different styles. Some are more expensive than others. Any sporting goods store will carry several styles. If the player has braces or other orthodontia you may want to consult their Doctor on what brand they recommend.

7 piece Pads set- Slotted (not snap)
A 7 piece pad set consists of 2 knee pads, 2 thigh pads, 2 hip pads and a tail pad.

Athletic Supporter-

Athletic supporters have come along way in recent years. The traditional Jock is still an option but many players seem to prefer the Compression Shorts.

If you're purchasing Compression Shorts be sure to get the 6-Pocket version. In the 6 Pocket version the players can insert their Cup, Hip, Tail and Thigh pads. This makes it easier for them to get dressed and its safer for them because if their pants get twisted their pads stay in place.

Some brands of compression shorts come with the 7 piece pads sewn in,  these are acceptable.  If you are buying compression shorts with pads make sure they also have a slot for the cup!

Shoes-

While your child may attempt to convince you they need a $120 pair of shoes to play football that is not the case. However, we do recommend a wearing spiked shoes. The only rule is NO Metal Spikes. If you would like to buy football cleats that's great but its OK for them to wear baseball or soccer cleats.

Practice Pants and Jersey-

Every player will need a pair of practice pants and a jersey. I recommend slotted pants with a belt.




A Water Bottle!

Every player should bring a water bottle to practices and games. It needs to be 32 oz or larger. The early months of practice are very hot and they will need to drink lots of water to stay hydrated.  Please use a water container with a closable spout so they don't leak while laying on the ground.

Water and Ice is the be. Sports drinks get warm and they are full of sugar Please e try to avoid sending them to practice.
